Open House -Session II

Past, current, and prospective AISGSU Members,

We have planned a Fall Semester full of events for members of the Association for Information Systems at Georgia State University. Take a moment to come in at your leisure to learn more about our unique organization here at Georgia State and to also meet our Executive Board members.

During the Spring Semester, we invited Dell SecureWorks, KPMG, InComm, and Verizon out to our meetings to speak and offer advice to our members. As a consequence, many of our members were offered paid internships within a few of the companies. The Executive Board members believe that the relationships built through having our members intern with these companies is of great benefit to our organization as a whole and especially to our incoming members, so we plan to use that momentum to promote our organization as one of the best and most competitive on campus!

This year, the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department is offering a Board of Advisors Scholar Program, and becoming a member of the Association for Information Systems is a prerequisite for applying. More information about the program will be provided at the Open House Meeting.
